Welcome, and thank you SO much for coming to check out my new blog!! As some of you may know, I had a blog about 1-2 years ago, called Bubbles and Glitter. But I knew from the very beginning that the name didn’t really fit me as a person. Yes, I love bubbles, and my nickname when I was a preschool teacher was The Glitter Queen. But, I knew it wasn’t the direction that I needed my blog and life to go in. But I was a little lost and knew I wanted to start a blog, so I jumped on the craft/recipes/fitness bandwagon and started writing. I sprinkled a very small part of myself into that blog, but over the past two years, I have done a lot of soul searching and seen a lot of self-discovery. As I began on this new direction, I stopped writing as much. I knew that what I wanted to write about did not even remotely fit the theme of Bubbles and Glitter, and I knew that it was time to make the switch. But as fear often does, it held me back for quite some time, as I pondered over what I should call my new blog, whether I could make it work, if I would be able to find the time to write, etc. A few months back though, I began a new friendship with a woman who I have come to respect highly. It seems she has been on a very similar, but often very different, path of self-discovery as well. I began to trust her, and knew that she would be the best sounding board for this blog, so I mustered up the courage and presented my idea to her. She helped me nail down a blog name, and agreed that this was a great direction to take my writing, and something that many women could identify with and benefit from.
So, without further ado, I introduce you to Heal Your Soul! Here I will be writing about my journey through mental health issues, what it’s like to be a new runner, all things motherhood, and of course Disney. I’m sure I will sprinkle in other things (I love me a good recipe, especially when it is easy!), but those will be the main topics here. I hope that this will be a place to support and encourage others, while finding a way to put my experiences into words. I am super excited to start this journey, and I’m so thankful that you are here to support me.
